The Gold (1st) prize went to the nominee Mr. MONTHE DJIADEU VALERY MARCIAL from National Advanced School of Engineering (ENS Polytechnique) Yaoundé in Cameroon. His work titled “Modélisation d’un patient virtuel émotif et interactif: Application à la formation au diagnostic médical” was rewarded with a to/from flight ticket between Cameroon and Germany. Mr. Martin Nweke, CEO of air travel agency "Fly Africa" (the official sponsor and partner of VKII-Best Student Award 2010) handed over the “Gold” prize in person and praised VKII for rewarding Cameroonian students worldwide with such a prize.

Being the best female ranking in the entire contest, Ms. TSEBO SIMO GRACE LOLITA also won the VKII-Best Female Student Award (VKII-BFA) 2010 which is sponsored by the VKII Scientific Council with a prize money of 200,- Euros. Mr. Honoré Tchoukuegno, Manager at Daimler AG and speaker of the VKII Scientific Council handed this prize over to her.

Impressed by the performance of Ms. TSEBO SIMO (winner of both VKII-BSA Silver and VKII-BFA prizes totalling 500,- Euros prize money), Prof. Wolfram Ressel, Rector of the University of Stuttgart spontaneously offered her a PhD position coupled with a scholarship, which she delightedly accepted.

Not going unnoticed is the continuous trend from 2009 that 2 prize winners of this year’s contest were Cameroon based students from the same university, National Advanced School of Engineering (ENS Polytechnique) Yaoundé in Cameroon.

The VKII-Best Student Award and VKII-Best Female Student Award are international contests for undergraduate and graduate Cameroonian students worldwide. It offers them an opportunity to compete for an award, as they examine innovative topics in engineering and computer science in order to solve everyday problems.
